It’s the middle of the week and you are home sick with the flu. While all of your friends, co-workers, and family members are being productive members of society, you are lying in your bed twiddling your thumbs, wondering what you can do to keep yourself occupied. What better way to battle the flu-blues than to snuggle up and watch a good movie. And by keeping positive and focusing on other things than your sickness, you are more likely to feel better faster. Research has explored the benefits of positive thinking, and according to the Mayo Clinic, optimism on health leads to, “better psychological and physical well-being, and a greater resistance to the common cold.” So in order to foster those positive thoughts we’ve compiled a list of feel-good movies to get you through those dreaded sick days. 3. Eat, Pray, Love

Usually when you’re sick you oftentime feel uninspired and sometimes sad. Julia Roberts gives a fun and interesting perspective on her relationship with travelling, finding her own peace, and seeing the world in this book-turned-movie. (Click here for the trailer)

4. Bridesmaids

Often referred to as the female version of The Hangover, this romantic comedy might leave some of you pretty satisfied with your own lives. The antagonist, Annie is facing a whirlwind of obstacles as she plays the important role of maid-of-honor for her best friend’s wedding. (Click here for the trailer)

5. Napoleon Dynamite

7. Rush Hour

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker bring comedy and martial arts together. It might make you want to jump out of your bed and start kicking. However, we don’t recommend that, as rest is an important part in getting better. (Click here for the trailer)
