The companies debuted the new touch-screen device that comes with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, in Hong Kong Wednesday.
The super slim phone features a 4.65-inch Contour Display with high definition resolution and fast dual core 1.2 GHz processor combined with support for 4G LTE or HSPA+ technology, which means that the phone could function on all major U.S. wireless carriers including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. However no official announcements were made.
The Galaxy Nexus has tons of features including voice typing, Google+ integration with hangouts and Messenger, and the ability to take panoramic photos in a single motion.
With Ice Cream Sandwich, the Galaxy Nexus has eliminated all hardware buttons in favor of adaptable software buttons.
The phone also changes the way you can browse through contacts with a new People app, which combines high-resolution photos and updates from Google+, Facebook and other social media sites.
The companies haven’t released a pricing plan for the phone but Engadget speculates the phone will go for $299.99 with a new two-year contract through Verizon Wireless.
