They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and research has even shown that a big breakfast heavy on protein can prevent overeating throughout the day. So when do we draw the line between a big breakfast and too much of a good thing? This 8,000-calorie “Monster Mega Breakfast” would probably be a good start. For 15 pounds (about $22.50), the Corner Café in Portishead near Bristol, England will serve up all 59 items of food and give you an hour to complete it — a feat no customer has accomplished.

Let’s take a look at what goes into this gut-busting morning meal. I hope you’re sitting down. Six rashers of bacon, six sausages, six eggs, two three-egg omelettes, four portions of fried potatoes, four portions of mushrooms, six slices of black pudding, six hash browns, one bowl of chips, four onion rings, four slices of toast, two fried breads, half a grilled tomato, two portions of beans, two portions of tomatoes, and to wash it all down, either a pint of milkshake or a can of energy drink.

Before customers attempt the “Monster Mega Breakfast,” they are asked to sign a waiver and have to be 18 or older. “Just want to clear something up here: We are just a little family-run business who can't save the entire world from famine and starvation! But we do as much as we possibly can every year,” reads a post on the Corner Café Portishead Facebook page.
