Sometimes the best moments are the ones when nobody’s around. But over the course of a bustling, work-filled day, these moments can be hard to come by. Graduate student Eden Lew, of New York’s School of Visual Arts, has a solution: Meet Nutshell.

Lew developed the prototype last November, and though she hasn’t disclosed any plans to sell the design, she’s currently at work developing a tutorial for people to make their own pods at home. “I'm really happy that people liked it,” the 22-year-old Texas native told the NY Daily News. What started as a school project asking students to "redesign the next thing they threw out," eventually swelled into a full prototype.

According to Lew’s website, she sees the Nutshell as a “platform for productive break-taking.” This could probably come in handy for the average American, given the rise in sleep-related disorders. Early last year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released an official report calling lack of sleep a public health epidemic. Nearly 44 percent of people 18 to 25 years old reported unintentionally falling asleep during the daytime at least once in the past month.

The Nutshell’s best feature may be its versatility. It can be used as a quiet place to eat lunch, as a nook for reading, or as an opportunity to have a lights-out power nap. Or, if you don’t mind being the office weirdo, as your permanent home. Welcome to the neighborhood.
