Several men and women have sex in public for the pure thrill of possibly getting caught in the carnal act. A Chinese trio, who most likely did not want to be caught in public — especially in this way — crashed into a tree after the driver, 32-year-old Chung Yeh, accidentally released the handbrake, sending the car downhill in Wenzhou, China. Two dozen firefighters rushed to the scene and freed the two women, 27-year-old Yi Hsu and 23-year-old Dai Lei, while the male driver escaped unscathed from the car-shaking, steamy sex session that quickly turned awry.

“I could see that they were trapped naked inside,” said Bo Lan, a passing motorist, the Daily Star reported. Yeh appeared agitated, according to Lan, and could be heard “shouting for the firemen to work faster to free them.” In a YouTube video posted by TomoNews U.S., the driver can be seen frantically pacing back and forth in his pajamas, while the firemen are hard at work helping the trapped women escape.

Approximately two dozen firefighters were spotted on the scene in efforts to save Hsu and Lei, who were soaked in blood after getting cut by shards of glass from the shattered windshields. While the man walked away unharmed, one woman suffered serious injuries, and the other broke both of her legs, Shanghaiist reported.

“The driver is being investigated for lewd acts in a public place, as the women will be when they are fit enough to answer charges,” said a police spokesman, according to the Daily Star. The police concluded that the trio was in the middle of a sexual act when the handbrake was released, and the care was sent rolling downhill. However, local police are investigating whether or not to place charges.

Although this accident sounds like an episode of Sex Sent Me to the ER or Bad Sex, the truth of the matter is that sex-related car crashes are more common and dangerous than we like to think. “Sex Me” is an in-car game that involves being the first to spot a burnt-out headlight. Spotting one earns a player the right to make their opponent remove an item of clothing while still in the car. This “high-speed sex game,” is thought to be the cause of the death of the son of Ling Jihua, a Chinese government official, the The New York Times reported.

The frequency with which these in-car sex games occur has led to numerous accidents, and you can see some of them here.
