Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety Disorder Definition
Anxiety disorder is characterized by persistent, excessive, and unrealistic worry about everyday things. Mild to moderate or occasion rigorous feelings of anxiety are ordinary reactions to stressors in our life. There are many types of anxiety disorders, including panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, and different phobias. Anxiety affects 6.8 million adults, or 3.1% of the U.S. population, in any given year. Women are twice as likely to be affected.
