Apple Cider Vinegar: How Much Should You Drink For Guaranteed Weight Loss?

The health community has been using apple cider vinegar for a number of health benefits. One reason it remains in many people’s kitchen is its positive effects on weight. 

Apple cider vinegar is a natural product made from fermented apples. Adding this ingredient to a regular diet has been proven effective to support weight loss. 

It even helps speed up the fat burning process. An expert explained that apple cider vinegar improves metabolism and enables the body to store less fat.

“Apple cider vinegar can help a weight loss regime due to its diuretic actions that assist the elimination of excess fluids, it's cleansing effects on the liver and it can improve metabolism thereby encouraging the breakdown of excess fat,” Lisa Borg, a nutritionist based in the United Kingdom, told the Daily Express

Aside from burning fat faster, the health benefits of apple cider vinegar also include providing essential nutrients, such as folic acid, vitamin C and vitamins B1, B2 and B6. It also contains important minerals that further boost metabolic processes.

“Weight loss is extremely difficult where nutrient deficiencies are present,” Borg added. Apple cider vinegar's “contribution to digestive processes can help constipation, which in turn can help weight loss because the slow a clogged bowel is still absorbing calories.”

Right Amount Of Apple Cider Vinegar For Weight Loss

Borg recommended that people consume at least one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar a day to reduce waistline. Such amount was backed by recent study with obese people. 

The findings, published in the U.S. National Library of Medicine, showed that the people who took one tablespoon of the natural vinegar every day lost an average of 2.6 pounds within three months. 

Researchers tested the effects of apple cider vinegar on 175 people who were considered obese prior to the study. The team found that drinking more of the product each day could burn more fats. 

The participants who consumed two tablespoons lost up to 3.7 pounds during the study. Borg said people can add apple cider vinegar to their daily meals in different ways. 

But the best way is mixing one tablespoon of the vinegar into a full glass of water. She suggested drinking the mixture on the first half of your meal.
