Halloween Costume Ideas 2019: Spooktacular Costumes You Can Wear To Office

Google saw a significant increase in searches for the best Halloween costume ideas for 2019. Some offices have already announced their parties, but not every company is too fond of costumes and trick-or-treating.

Halloween can be one of the special days of the year that allow adults to have fun and forget their stressful jobs even in the office. Unfortunately, it falls on a weekday this year.

But you are that employee who really wants to join the party. How can you enjoy this year’s Halloween if your boss is not willing to see anyone in the office dressing like the Joker, any member of the Avengers or Pennywise the dancing clown of the movie "It."

Luckily, there are ways to wear a costume at work without your boss noticing you. You can join the party by simply getting some pieces that are already in your wardrobe.

Halloween Costume Ideas 2019

Black Suit

Modifying your black suit can be the easiest Halloween costume idea this year. Just add dark sunglasses and you can be an agent from Men in Black.

If you have a beard and long hair, you can act like John Wick. However, do not bring a fake gun to the office. Maybe the pencil would be enough to tell you are the feared Baba Yaga.

Plaid Skirt

This is one of the widely used clothes in movies, TV series and even videogames. If you have a plaid skirt, you can be anyone from "The Craft" by just adding an oversized coat, combat boots and lots of chains.

Who knows Rachel Green from Friends? Get that plaid skirt and add a beige turtleneck and knee-high socks to be part of the cast, a great idea from InStyle.

Striped T-Shirt

With this, you can be a lot of characters. A simple striped shirt can make you a mime, a referee or a pirate, which you can use to trick your officemates by copying their moves, pointing out their violations (when they nap too much) or by stealing their chocolates.

Faux Fur Coat

This one has been widely used in the past Halloweens but remains fashionable today. Combine a faux fur coat with a simple black dress and a pair of gloves and act like you are Cruella de Vil from "101 Dalmatians."

You can also be Margot Tenenbaum from "The Royal Tenenbaums." Simply button up your coat and get a smokey eye. That easy.

Denim Jumpsuit

By simply putting a red scarf around your head and wearing a denim jumpsuit, you can be the cultural icon Rosie the Riveter.

Leather Jacket

This one is classic. A leather jacket, shades and an all-black outfit will make you someone from "The Matrix."

You can also be a Southside Serpent from "Riverdale." Just get their emblem and tape it onto your back.

John Wick It's one of a couple stacked weekends this year. Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan watched the newest John Wick film, John Wick: Chapter 2, and spent a lot of time dissecting its merits as a sequel to what was one of our favorite action films of recent memory. BagoGames/flickr
