Here's A Cheap Fruit That Can Help You Live Longer

Eating a healthy diet is the sure-fire way to help make sure that you live a long life. However, if you’re hoping to add a little more in your diet, then this “wonderfood” might just be what you need.

The Cheap 'Wonderfood' To Include In Your Diet For Longer Life

We all know that the key to living a long life is by simply constantly exercising and eating a well-balanced and healthy diet that has at least five portions of fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. But you can always add a little more. Per studies, the avocado is one such superfood that can help add to your life expectancy.

According to the NHS, the “miracle cure” we’ve all been waiting for has been here all the time. That is by doing constant and regular exercise, coupled with lifestyle and diet changes that you’ll follow consistently. And one of the best foods to add to your diet is avocado.

Quite cheap and easily available in markets, avocado is the fruit of the avocado tree and is a botanically large berry (yes, it’s a berry) that is well-known for having one large seed inside its pit. But what makes it a superfood?

Well, it’s because they help boost our heart health by reducing the amount of bad cholesterol in our body all while replacing them with good cholesterol, which in turn helps reduce the risk of cholesterol buildup that may eventually lead to heart disease and even cardiac arrest.

"Creamy and delicious, avocados are loaded with good fats that lower cholesterol and protect against wrinkles. They are also packed with a variety of vitamins and minerals that help with everything from keeping eyes healthy to regulating blood pressure. These heart-healthy benefits are most likely thanks to avocados being high in monounsaturated fat. Avocados also contain heart-friendly phytosterols such as beta-sitosterol, which help to lower blood cholesterol levels," dietitian Juliette Kellow and nutritionist Sarah Brewer

said in their book "Eat Better Live Longer - Understand What Your Body Needs To Stay Healthy."

This is why your everyday diet should include avocados.
