Jillian Michaels Exposes Major Mistakes People Who Fail To Lose Weight Make

Losing weight, even if you’re following the program correctly, is already hard as it is. It takes hard work, discipline and commitment if you really want to see the best results.

However, with all the weight loss articles available on the internet, it’s not hard to drown in the sea of information, and it’s easy to lose sight of what you should do and what you shouldn’t and, more importantly, what works for you.

Thankfully, American professional trainer, author and television personality Jillian Michaels is here to get us back on track. According to her, there are three major mistakes that are preventing most people from getting thier flat belly. They are listed below.

  1. Doing the same workout – Just like with eating the same type of food everytime, doing the same type of exercises over and over will hardly be of any help. Sure, it gets you your fill, but there’s not much in terms of future results. That’s because over time, your body gets used to the workout, resulting in you getting stuck in a rut. To help combat this, don’t be afraid to mix it up. According to Michaels, you need to keep your muscles guessing by changing your routine at least every two weeks. This can help them burn calories better and get stronger, and it also prevents you from getting bored as well.
  2. Eating too much calories – One of the most common mistakes that people make is not pairing the workout routines with a controlled diet that consists of healthy foods. Because fat is basically stored energy, you need to eat just the right amount of calories per day and also make sure that it’s more than what you burn daily. This will help you store those calories as fat. There are many apps available that can help you track your calories. Eventually, you’ll get a good grip of what works for you, and you can stick to the diet better.
  3. Under training – Often overlooked, another common mistake is under training. “They underestimate their abilities and do things like rest for long periods between sets, lift less than they could and should, jog more slowly, etc. All these things slow your progress and inhibit your best calories burn,” Michaels explained.

 

Truth is, trying to losing weight is hard, but that just makes the results all the more worth it. So don’t be afraid to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and past your limits, because that’s when the real work starts.
