Researchers found that regular consumption of water high in magnesium and calcium could help reduce blood pressure levels. In one study, drinking 34 ounces of natural mineral water each day helped 70 adults manage their high blood pressure. 

Supports Bone Health

Mineral water’s health benefits can also help maintain healthy bones. It is because of high amounts of calcium, bicarbonate and magnesium.

Calcium alone can help build stronger bones at all stages of life, according to Healthline. Several studies suggested that the human body can absorb calcium from mineral water similar to dairy products. 

Reduces Constipation Effects

The magnesium in mineral water can help prevent and treat constipation. This mineral works by allowing water to flow into the intestines, which helps relax intestinal muscles, make stools softer and improve bowel movement.

Potential Bad Effects of Mineral Water

Despite the health benefits, drinking mineral water may negatively affect the body. The concerns mainly focus on some brands that contain high amounts of sodium and microplastics from bottles. 

These small plastic particles have been found staying in the body for long periods of time and linked to higher inflammation.
