Pentagon Finally Admits Viral UFO Videos By Military Pilots Are Authentic

The world was surprised by reports over the past two years about U.S. Navy pilots who recorded sightings of unidentified flying objects. The Department of Defense (DOD) has been trying to encourage the public to ignore the reports until one official confirmed the service members’ experiences.

Three allegedly declassified videos came out in December 2017 and March 2018 showing different mysterious aircraft flying at hypersonic speeds. In one footage, the object appears with no distinct wings nor signs of propulsion but moves tens of thousands of feet above the Earth.

Another filmed aircraft appears traveling at high speed from 80,000 feet down to the sea and stopping at 20,000 feet in another footage. The objects reportedly either disappeared from the radar or returned to the atmosphere quickly.

The videos released by The New York Times raised a single question worldwide: Are UFO’s real? However, some people believed the sightings could be fake.

But a DOD official recently issued a statement confirming the videos are authentic. However, the agency did not describe the objects as UFOs.

Joseph Gradisher, a spokesperson for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare, said the Navy now officially considers the aircraft as "unidentified aerial phenomena." He said the objects appeared in restricted military training airspaces in 2004 and 2015.

DOD has yet to identify the objects as any type of aircraft. But one thing that the agency is sure of is that the UFO-like objects were not supposed to be there, Gradisher told intelligence news website The Black Vault

Gradisher also admitted DOD never declassified the videos for public release. The videos potentially came from a former Pentagon employee who improperly included the sightings to a database on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), The Black Vault reported.

He was reportedly tasked to share the data to several government agencies, which leaked the videos. With the confirmation from the Pentagon official that DOD tried to hide such sightings, many people raised more questions.

Are there other similar experiences reported by military members or pilots? Is it the first time the defense agency saw UFO-like objects but failed to identify them?
