Robert Pattinson Is The World's Handsomest Man, Per Science

Back in October of 2019, the Daily Mail reported that famous model and personality Bella Hadid had been named the “the most beautiful human in the world.” Well, now she has a partner since it’s been recently declared that Robert Pattinson is the “world’s most handsome man.”

Beauty Standards

But the basis for this declaration isn’t just based on a survey since it actually came from science. Per the report, the former "Twilight" star’s jaw, nose, lips, eyebrows, eyes and general facial shape were all measured against the same features of other male celebrities, and the results is that his face is the one closest to the idea of perfection that the ancient Greeks believed. This idea of perfection (called the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi) is believed to have been used by artists and painters during the European Renaissance.

Furthermore, the "Batman" star’s face didn’t just excel in that since he also gained 92.15 percent in a mathematical formula that was developed by scientists to "help explain what makes a person beautiful." Suffice it to say, the formula says that his face is almost perfect. In comparison, Hadid’s percentage on the formula is 94.35.

And while he did top that list, he is also followed by other male celebrities, which include "Superman" star Henry Cavill at 91.64, Bradley Cooper at 91.08, Brad Pitt at 90.51, George Clooney at 89.91, Hugh Jackman at 89.64, David Beckham at 88.96, Idris Elba at 88.01, Kanye West at 87.94 and Ryan Gosling at 87.48.

"These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients' surgery," Dr. Julian De Silva, a Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon who’s credited for these findings, said.

Per De Silva, these percentages are determined by using a person’s facial width and length. However, the doctor added that these findings only looked into famous people and that beauty in itself is subjective. Still, we’re not surprised how the now "Batman" star bagged the role of vampire Edward Cullen back then.
