A night of heavy drinking forces the liver to work overtime to clean your body. Health experts recommend no more than one drink per day for adult women and one to two for adult men to keep the organ healthy. 

Take some herbs

There are herbs that could help boost the performance of the liver to convert nutrients and remove more toxins from the body. The list includes milk thistle, holy basil, dandelion root, licorice root and bupleurum.

These herbs are known to help prevent depletion of glutathione in the liver, combat bacteria, balance fluid levels, reduce gastrointestinal problems and fight infections.

Take a less stressful life 

Chronic stress causes changes in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, which promotes inflammatory response and worsens liver damage. Poor liver function linked to stress can then cause brain fog, dizziness, headaches, cramping, blurry vision and digestive disorders.
