If you’re a big Game Of Thrones fan then you probably couldn’t help but notice the muscle-bound giant who played Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane during Season 4. Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, affectionately known as Thor, has made a name for himself as a professional strongman. To give us a little insight into his current training regimen, Bjornsson shared his 10,000-calorie meal plan with his fans on Facebook and Instagram. Just like the world records he has set, you have to see it to believe it.

Like all strongmen, Bjornsson built his impressive physique (6 feet 9 inches, 400 pounds) with a combination of heavy lifting and heavy eating. In addition to eating all those calories, he also works in two training sessions each day. Some of his accomplishments while competing against the world’s strongest men include deadlifting 994 pounds, winning the 2014 and 2015 Europe’s Strongest Man competitions, and breaking a 1,000-year-old strongman record by carrying a 1,433-pound log on his back on his way to winning the World’s Strongest Viking competition.

Between meals, Bjornsson spends his time sparring with UFC superstar Connor McGregor and dressing up as The Incredible Hulk to put a smile on a 3-year-old boy’s face. And he has his sights set on winning this year’s World’s Strongest Man competition — last year he finished as a runner-up — and with his diet it’s easy to see how hard he wants it.
