Andre Davis, a former professional wrestler, was sentenced to 32 years in prison Monday for knowingly having sex with multiple women and not telling them about being infected with HIV.

Davis told Common Pleas Court Judge Jerome Metz Jr. in Cincinnati that he cared about people, including his sex partners.

He told a judge Monday he was a “sex addict” and that the addiction became worse after he could not work as a professional wrestler after testing positive for HIV.

In November a jury convicted Davis of 14 of 15 felony assault charges against him for the incidents.
