The female reproductive system is a complicated system of working parts, even for women. So when men try to diagram a woman’s lady parts, one can only expect a comical outcome. Mic Video gathered up a group of men, put a piece of paper and a Sharpie in front of them, and asked them to do their best at drawing a vagina. It goes about as well as expected.

Considering the male reproductive system is pretty much out in the open, it’s a lot easier to diagram. On the other hand, most female parts are internal, so seeing what a women is working with from the outside is out of the question. While most of the guys attempt to give it an honest shot, some draw a female stick figure with a shaded crotch area and call it a day. Whether men gave it a shot or chalked it up to a loss, the results were still something their eighth grade science teacher would not be proud of.

Don’t worry, guys. It seems that most women also struggle with labeling their lady bits. A recent survey conducted by the women’s cancer charity, The Eve Appeal, found that half of female respondents between the ages of 26 and 35 were unable to correctly label the vagina on a simple diagram. The majority of women in the younger age groups struggled with labeling areas of their body that can be affected by gynecological cancer, including the womb, cervix, ovaries, vagina, and vulva.
