Hopping in the sauna after a grueling workout can help with relieving sore muscles and burning up extra calories. New research has even suggested sweating it out in the sauna can help lower risk of fatal cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality. That said, if you are thinking about stepping into the sauna at your local gym after a workout, make sure you don't end up locked inside like Nick Clayton was at LA Fitness.

“I just have to document this really quickly,” Clayon explains in the video. “I have been locked in to a closed LA Fitness. I was in the sauna had my headphones on. Didn’t realize this crazy place closes at five o’clock.”

A quick trip to LA Fitness’ website and Clayton would’ve learned that the LA Fitness location in Clearwater — State Road 580 & 2nd — does, in fact, close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Luckily, Clayton decided to call another LA Fitness and found out that he could leave through the emergency exit door without sounding the alarm. Thus ending his literal 15 minutes of fame.

“I am literally locked in here,” Clayton added. “Lights are off. No one to be found at the front desk. Nobody even checked the bathrooms to see if someone was in there. I didn’t know it closed this early. What LA Fitness closes at five o’clock? I have literally no idea what to do. This is ridiculous. Do I call the police? I am locked in the LA Fitness. No one’s here.”
