Qualitest Pharmaceuticals voluntarily recalled its oral contraceptives due to packaging errors that could leave women at risk of unintended pregnancy, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Thursday.

The FDA said that Qualitest is recalling "multiple lots" of the contraceptives nationwide, after a packaging error may give an incorrect regimen of these contraceptives and hides the lot number and expiration date.

Although the FDA said the defects didn't pose immediate health risks for consumers, it recommended that consumers begin using a non-hormonal form of contraception immediately and consult their doctor or pharmacist.

The recall includes these products:

• Cyclafem7/7/7

• Cyclafem 1/35

• Emoquette

• Gildess FE 1.5/30

• Gildess FE 1/20

• Orsythia

• Previfem

• Tri-Previfem
