Reality television star Michelle Duggar, 47, announced that she and husband Jim Bob Duggar, 48, are expecting their 20th child. The couple on 19 Kids & Counting is celebrating their 29th anniversary this year and will commemorate the occasion by welcoming another child to their big family.

“We really are excited," Michelle said during an interview on NBC. “We are due in April and we are just thrilled.”

In addition to 19 children of their own, Michelle and Jim Bob are also grandparents to their oldest son Josh’s three youngsters. Although the pair conceived their 20th child naturally, they have also considered the idea of adoption.

"We're praying about if the Lord would want us to adopt," Michelle said on The Today Show. "We have set up our home to be designed for taking care of children. We love children, and we really believe every child is a special gift from God," Jim Bob added.

Michelle didn’t seem fazed by the possible health concerns faced by a pregnant woman of her age. She says a healthy diet and an active lifestyle have helped her to control her overall health and avoid falling behind in a game of tag.

“I went through some morning sickness in the beginning of my pregnancies. As I’ve experienced that, many other moms told me how grateful I should be, because the morning sickness helps me know things are going along okay,” Michelle told Celebrity Baby Scoop. “I’ve had a number of friends who experienced no morning sickness and had early complications. In all my pregnancies, I rejoiced even when the morning sickness came, because I knew it was a good sign and a good reason to be sick.”
