Soon after revelations of a miscarriage, reality TV star Leah Messer of MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” will enter her two-year old twin daughters in a beauty pageant that will benefit St. Jude Children’s research.

The pageant announcement came via Twitter from Messer’s mother earlier this week. She called on the public to support the health organization at the pageant, which will take place at West Virginia State College.

“ALL. Ali & Aleeah will be in the St.Jude beauty pageant on Feb 11th at the wv state college. It starts at 11am come out and support St.Jude,” wrote mother Dawn Spears on Jan 24.

It was believed that Messer, 19, was pregnant with another pair of twins just two weeks ago. However that changed when Messer’s boyfriend Jeremy Calvert, 22, revealed the news.

Calvert, 22, told OK! Magazine Messer’s miscarriage had been a “devastating experience” and that all he could do was support her and “take things day by day.”

“It’s hard, but we will get through it,” he said. Calvert proposed to Messer on Christmas Day in December.

A source told the magazine that Messer had been having bad cramps for the past two weeks before the miscarried.

Messer began dating Calvert soon after her short marriage to Corey Simms, the father of her two-year-old girls ended. Messer was married Teen Mom 2 co-star Simms in an October 2010 wedding that aired on MTV in March 2011 during the show’s first season finale. After just six-months of marriage, Messer decided to file for divorce in Elkview, West Virginia in April 2011.

Messer’s first pregnancy was also difficult, although she had been ordered to be in strict bed rest during the last trimester of her pregnancy her twin daughters were born prematurely and her daughter Ali still struggles with health issues.
