In Life Noggin’s new video, “How Smart Is Your Body?” director and host Pat Graziosi explores things that subconsciously happen in our body and contribute to better overall health.
For example, studies have shown that your brain processes information even when you’re asleep. The mind may actually be working its hardest while you’re catching Z’s in an effort to “clear out damaging waste products that build up in the brain,” according to the video.

The most simple things your body does without conscious effort are likely to be blinking and, obviously, breathing. Your body actually sends signals to your brain telling it how much oxygen needs to be breathed from moment to moment.
Meanwhile, blinking happens about 15 times per minute without you noticing, Graziosi reported.
