A Chinese delegation of food and drug regulators visited Pennsylvania on Sunday as part of U.S. training tour.

Drug Information Association, a global non-profit group based in Horsham, PA, whose members focus on medical product development, said it would host 18 delegation members from the State Food and Drug Administration.

The expertise of the visitors includes drug registration and the center of control testing labs, DIA said.

Paul Pomerantz, DIA Worldwide Executive director said the visit was meant to “explore how our organizations can continue to work together to educate our industry about reporting, compliance and other requirements and developments around the world.”

Also participating were three executive team members form the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association of Greater Philadelphia, DIA said.

DIA said the delegation’s previous visits had included a 10-day regulatory affairs training at Yale University’s School of Public Health. The delegation has also visited the NJ FDA field office, Novartis, the University of Sciences Philadelphia, and the United States Pharmacopeia.
