Do you know how hard it is to find festive, healthy Christmas treats? Really, really hard. The reason so many of our favorite recipes call for so much butter and fat is because it's what ultimately gives the cookie its distinct texture and taste.

Luckily, there are a few bloggers out there who have figured out how to get the classic cookies (or appetizers) we love to err on the healthy side by swapping in alternative ingredients, like whole wheat flour, almond butter, and coconut sugar and oil. We admit a couple of recipes make this list simply for appealing to certain diets: vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. But overall you can feel good about taking a bite out of any of these truly Christmas cookies.
