Actress Evan Rachel Wood welcomes a healthy baby boy — the 25-year-old actress and actor-husband Jamie Bell's first child, whose birth date and name currently remain a mystery.

Wood's rep confirmed the news to People and Us Weekly on Tuesday. "Parents and baby are all doing well.

Wood tweeted on July 29, "It's a boy!! Song of the day 'beautiful boy' #johnlennon" right before her husband tweeted to her, "Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior! You never cease to amaze. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally & peacefully. You did it!"

The two announced the pregnancy in January, and since then, Wood has been a happy and excited expecting mother. However, she forewarned the media to stay away from her baby-to-be in a tweet on July 21: "I believe kids should be protected and not public domain. When my baby comes I would greatly appreciate no support of any pap [paparazzi] photos."

Wood, a native from Raleigh, N.C., has kept her baby safely protected away from photographs thus far. But secrecy isn't new to the couple, as they got married on October 30, 2012 with a small ceremony out of the public's eye. Wood and Bell met in 2005 when they were filming a music video for the band Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and has since dated on and off again.

However, the rocky relationship didn't stop her from getting a "J" on her ankle. "We had matching tattoos because we know our love would last forever. Trouble is, it didn't, things happened, we split. But I don't regret the tattoo. It reminds me of a great, great period in my life," Wood said in 2006.

Wood is known for far more than a music video though; in 2003, she made her biggest debut in the lead role of Tracy for the movie Thirteen, a controversial drama about teenage exploration through drugs, sex, and a mother-daughter relationship. In recent years, she's been in The Wrestler, Billy Elliot, Jumper, and hit television series HBO's True Blood. Wood earned herself a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for her supporting role in Mildred Pierce.

Wood has seen her fair share of odd media attention in the past. In August 2012, just months before marrying her current husband, she identified herself as bisexual on Twitter. Before that, in 2007, her relationship with Marilyn Manson, a gothic American musician, became public, only to end in a broken engagement in August 2010.

Despite her past, Wood is thankful for her support from fans and friends and will continue to enjoy the new parenthood in private.

"Paps while sometimes harmless can be very rude and become very aggressive and people do get hurt. Its scary to have around a baby," she tweeted a week ago on July 21. "Fans aren't the problem. We love the fans. It's the tabloids & paps that put people n dangerous situations & shouldn't be supported."
