People who are looking for ways to lose weight can opt for healthy diet and work out. Recently, the WebMD has talked to experts when it comes to weight loss and also people who have figured out painless ways to cut the weight. The top tips are listed here.

1. Denial of food is never good for you. Instead, add some foods to your diet instead of cutting them off. However, you should keep in mind that you need to increase your intake in healthy goodies and not the opposite. You will love the goodness of grapes, snow peas and red cherries. Do not forget as well to eat veggies, stews, sauces and soups.

According to dietitian David Grotto, Rd, LDN, and also the author of 101 Optimal Life Foods, you have to keep an eye on the overall calories. In addition, you should do some physical activities too like dancing, playing basketball and a brisk walk.

2. Enjoy workouts by not calling them workouts at all. Grotto said that there might be truth to this. As soon as you end calling it an exercise, you will be able to find how good it feels. You can enjoy working out by doing some enjoyable activities like bicycling, car washing, hiking, grass skiing, Frisbee and chasing the dog around.

3. Walk around the neighborhood. According to Diane Virginias, a certified nursing staff from New York, a few minutes of walk is highly essential. You can choose not to use your car or any other public transport when going around. Also, you may consider signing up for charity walks and hike the mall. Walking for ten minutes a day, Virginia said, it adds up and help you lose weight.

4. The easiest way to cut back without the feeling of being deprived is by switching to lower-calorie versions of the food you are looking for. A low-fat cheese on your pizza will help, even low-fat ice creams. Fibers are essential for the body as mentioned by Elaine Bagee, RD, MPH and author of Tell Me What to Eat If I Suffer From Heart Disease and Food Synergy. fiber is good because it helps you feel satisfied for a longer period of time.

5. According to David Anthony, an information consultant from Atlanta, “Drinking a glass of water before a meal helps me watch what I eat. … I don't just hog everything, since I'm not so hungry." It is also a great idea to drink no-calorie beverages to keep the mouth busy, thus less likely to eat junk food. Lastly, rehydrate yourself by drinking water so that you can exercise longer.

6. Sharing a meal when eating out is not a bad idea at all. Since American restaurants have great meal servings, you can share them with your companion so that you do not eat everything on your plate. Not only do you save money, you also do not feel stuffed.

7. Dance to the music when you listen your favorite music show. You can also practice some stress-relieving cardio boxing. When watching TV, you can pedal with your stationery bike, walk on the treadmill or do some bicep curls.

8. Choose dinnerware in small sizes. According to Grotto, "A smaller plate full of food just feels more satisfying than a large plate with that same amount of food on it." So go for smaller bowls, spoons, cups, plates and the likes.

9. When you feel bored with your weight loss program, you tend to eat more, said Virginias. This is especially true when you are eating in front of the TV. So you must take a break occasionally to ease the boredom, thus you do not eat more.

10. Be patient in losing weight. Remember that losing weight will become easier as time goes by. This is based on the result of the study published in Obesity Research. According to the study, people who had lost around 30 pounds or more were able to keep the extra weight off for at least two years. Since then, losing weight did not require them too much effort.
