A North Carolina mom is suspected of shooting five children in the head, killing one instantly on Sunday, then killing herself. Two other children were later pronounced dead and two are in critical condition.

Mary Ann Holder, 36, allegedly shot the children at her suburban home in Greensboro, NC.

Her 17-year-old son Robert Dylan Smith was the first to die as he was declared dead at the scene of the incident, while her 8-year-old niece Hannaleigh Suttles, living with her at the time, died at the hospital on Monday, the Daily News reported.

Police told the Daily News that her 17 year-old nephew Rochard Suttles and friend Makayla Woods, 15, were rushed to the hospital and placed on life support.

Police initially found Holder’s 14-year-old son Zachary, still holding on to life despite a gunshot wound to his head. Zachary was in the back seat of a parked SUV where his mother was found dead, an act of alleged suicide.

As reported in the Daily News, Holder retrieved her son from a sleepover shortly before the shooting. He was reported dead at the hospital later Monday.

Police rushed to find Holder after learning she had shot her ex-boyfriend Randy Lamb in a parking lot on Sunday morning, the Daily News reported.

After Holder shot Lamb he called his wife who notified police. Holder and Lamb were having an affair back in 2008, court documents revealed.

The relationship turned ugly with restraining orders, reported the News & Record of Greensboro.

According to the Daily News, court documents state that Lamb's wife said Holder repeatedly harassed her, sending her naked pictures, followed her to the mall and tried to run her off a neighborhood road.

However, the case was dismissed because neither woman showed up at court on their trial date, the News and Record reported.

Officials said that Holder wrote two suicide notes taking full responsibility for the shootings stating that she was very sorry for the pain she caused.
