Panasonic Healthcare Group has introduced a new series of behind-the-ear hearing aids for people with mild to severe hearing loss which features a Bluetooth-enabled hub with memo-recording ability and up to 300 hours of battery life.

The new Receiver-in-Canal design comes in three different models that are compact, and curved.

The hearing hub is able to wirelessly connect the hearing instrument to Bluetooth enabled cell phones, landlines and Audio Transmitter which allows sound to automatically transmit into the digital hearing device. The hub also lets users record voice memos for up to five 2-minute and 40-second recorded files.

The hearing aid also comes with a new battery management took that extends battery life by preventing drainage when placed in a dehumidifier, and can last up to 300 hours, according to the company statement. Batteries are also easy to replace by rotating a dial to change new batteries.

There is also a noise reduction function, memory switch for easy access to set hearing programs for use in different listening settings and a low battery alarm. The new design includes an audio transmitter than can directly be plugged into a television audio port to transmit sound wireless into the hearing aid, and a remote control lets the user adjust the hearing programs and volume levels.

Delain Wright, Director of Sales, Panasonic Healthcare Group says the hearing aid’s R1-W series features sound quality design “that equals or exceeds” anything in the market.

The new design comes in three models: WH-R17C, WH-R15C and WH-R13C.

The models are available in eight colors including dark gray, rose gray, silver, pink, purple, blue, green and champagne gold.
