Fourth of July weekend is days away and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to finally get out of the office and into a pool. While a lot of Americans plan on limiting themselves to wholesome family fun this holiday weekend, there are also quite a few who will be enjoying some adult cocktails with their fun in the sun. Everyone’s entitled to their drink of choice while lounging around pool side, but jumping in that pool after tying one on can be disastrous.

The “Don’t Drink And Dive” water safety campaign, launched by insurance firm Trygg-Hansa, recruited the Stockholm Men’s Synchronized Swimming Team to help highlight the dangers associated with taking a dip after a few drinks. After throwing back a couple shots and guzzling a few beers, the three-time world champions in men’s synchronized swimming turned into a bunch of uncoordinated buffoons failing miserably to organize their routine.

“Middle-aged men under the influence of alcohol are the group most at risk for drowning,” according to a message that pops up just before the failed synchronized swimming attempt. With lifeguards and rescue divers on hand, no one was harmed in the filming of this video. However, a representative from Trygg-Hansa confirmed that "no one was close to drowning, but some of them needed help to get up from the pool." And yes the rep is talking about professional swimmers having trouble exiting a pool.
