Salmonella outbreak has now affected 16 states in the United States. It is said that the outbreak was due to tainted alfalfa sprouts that were grown in Urbana, Illinois.

The cases of salmonella contamination have now grown to at least 94. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this salmonella outbreak has caused 89 cases in 15 states in just a week. Now California has been added to the list of affected states.

It was shown that the majority of the cases have been in Illinois. The good thing is that no one had to lose their lives. FDA advised the people not to eat sprouts from Tiny Greens Organic Farm in Urbana, Illinois, where salmonella contamination may have started.
