Apple cider vinegar has also been gaining prominence in the beauty market recently. The hype is real; this healing ingredient acts as a great natural toner that can leave your skin looking healthier. It’s also a great teeth whitener. It is the astringent, highly acidic nature of the vinegar that provides the teeth-whitening benefit.

A 2007 study linked apple cider vinegar with regulated blood sugar, which offers benefits for those with type 2 diabetes. Researchers found that two tablespoons before bed with a snack resulted in lower blood sugar levels the next morning.

A recent study found increased levels of good bacteria in the guts of mice who consumed apple cider vinegar diluted in drinking water. In humans, this could reduce symptoms of gastrointestinal disease ulcerative colitis.
