The margins vary, but the projections are the same.

According to poll results leading up to the Iowa caucus, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has a firm hold on the Republican nomination in Iowa.

The latest Magellan Strategies and NHJournal.com poll results have Romney winning Iowa with 40 percent of the vote, followed by Texas Congressman Ron Paul at 19 percent.

The most recent Suffolk University/7NEWS two-day tracking poll has Romney with 43 percent and Paul 17 percent.

The Rasmussen Reports Iowa poll found a closer field – 23 percent for Romney, 22 percent for Paul, and 16 percent for former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum – but the same result, Romney on top in Iowa.

The results of the Iowa Caucus will be released tomorrow. The next primary is in New Hampshire on January 10.
