“Most men may not have performed as well as they wanted to at some point, and could benefit from lifestyle changes and techniques to help last longer,” said Lee Smith, professor of public health at Anglia Ruskin University.
“Depression affects people around the world and can have a wide range of impacts across a person’s life,” said study author Robert P. Murphy of the University of Galway in Ireland.
The strongest factor was "hidden emotional signals" as their make-up tends to hide their emotions, thus creating some sense of uncertainty, the researchers noted.
Sociocultural factors may play a role, such as gender inequality, social media usage and whether the culture in a certain place is more individualistic or collectivist.
“This device has the potential to dramatically improve the lives of those with Tourette syndrome, who often face challenges managing their tics, by providing increased control over their tics on demand,” Professor Stephen Jackson from the University of Nottingham said.
