A California couple looking to add some good vibes to their sex life got into a bit of a sticky situation when using a vibrator. The wife inserted a running vibrator into her husband's anus and could not get it out. Embarrassing as it was, incessant bouts of stomach pains, and constipation sent the man to the emergency room where an X-ray revealed the large object was lodged in his large intestine.

The red-faced patient was not very forthcoming with the medics about the obstruction in his bowels, until his wife admitted to the sexual escapades of their wild night. X-rays confirmed the running vibrator was still inside the husband. “You hear people shove things everywhere – I’ve heard ears, nose, [and] throat” said Stevey Pope, a nurse based in Fresno, Calif., who treated the constipated man, in TLC’s Sex Sent Me to the ER. “This is the first time I've encountered a running vibrator still inside somebody," he said.

Laxatives were used by the couple in an attempt to remove the vibrator, but to no avail. Luckily, health professionals were able to remove the gadget, preventing the possibility of the man suffering serious injuries. "That's something that requires immediate attention," Pope said, The Huffington Post reported. "It could lead to internal bleeding [and] infection, and major abdominal surgery, colostomy bags and feeding tubes.”

Pope said he has seen his fair share of sex-related injuries in the ER, but this couple’s sexual experience has been the most ludicrous to date.
