Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev and Twilight actress Nikki Reed have teamed up to urge Americans to sign up for Obamacare before Monday’s March 31st deadline. On Wednesday, the Obama administration announced that the deadline would be extended to mid-April for individuals who began applying but weren’t able to finish by Monday due to problems with the Healthcare.gov site and busy phone lines. For everyone else, the Monday deadline remains in place. So, last-minute shoppers should act quickly because, as Dobrev and Reed demonstrate in the video, a "selfie"-inflicted injury could apparently cost you $20,000.

The video, albeit silly, underscores how injuries can happen at the most unexpected moment and leave you with a horrific medical bill. Rather than face this situation uninsured, Dobrev says, “Don’t be a fool on April Fools’ Day. #GetCovered.” Reed points out that 25 percent of young Americans aren’t insured.

The latest report released by the Department of Health and Human Services estimated over 4.2 million Americans enrolled for health insurance as of March 11, 2014. Initially, the Obama administration estimated seven million people would enroll by the March deadline, but they later scaled down the figure to six million after numerous problems with the Healthcare.gov site.
