A man claims that a dancer at a strip club fell on him with so much force that she tore open his bladder during his bachelor party, according to a lawsuit.

Patrick Gallagher was celebrating his upcoming wedding with friends at The Penthouse Club in Port Richmond, Pennsylvania, and as a guest-of-honor, he was invited to lie on stage as a stripper slid down a pole. It wasn't until the unidentified stripper "shimmied up the pole, and from a great height, launched herself down onto his abdomen" that disaster struck and ruptured Gallagher's bladder, his lawyer Neil Murray told Philly.com.

Apparently the groom-to-be was in so much pain that his group of friends had the leave the club. Murray said that the next morning, he was still in so much pain that he had to go to the hospital, and doctors diagnosed him with a ruptured bladder which required surgery.

A ruptured bladder is a serious and often life-threatening injury that can be caused by car crashes, a severe fall, a blow to the abdominal area or past injuries sustained during pelvic surgery. Some of the symptoms of a ruptured bladder include dehydration, severe abdominal and pelvic pain, difficulty urinating and having blood in the urine.

Gallagher is now suing the club for at least $50,000 for his medical costs, humiliation and mental anguish. The Penthouse Club could not be reached for comment.

The incident happened in November 2010 while the groom and his friends were enjoying the 'diamond bachelor package' at the strip club

The 'diamond bachelor package' is for ten or more people and includes two hours in a private lounge at the top of the club with an open bar, hot appetizers and a private waitress for $140 a person.

The lawsuit was filed in the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court last week.
